Location: New Orleans, LA -- Full-time, fully on-site position.

Dixie Construction, LLC specializes in custom homes, renovations, remodeling, and historic restorations across the Greater New Orleans area. Behind every successful project is a well-organized office that keeps financial information, documents, and daily operations moving. We are looking for an experienced administrator who can bring accuracy, structure, and construction knowledge to our growing team.
The Project Administrator will support the daily financial and administrative operations of the company. A major focus of the position will be maintaining accurate, current QuickBooks records, along with organizing project documentation and assisting with general office responsibilities. The right person will understand construction terminology and materials, manage details without constant supervision, and be willing to step in wherever administrative support is needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date company records in QuickBooks.
- Record transactions and help keep financial information organized on a daily basis.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, purchase information, and project-related documentation.
- Organize contracts, permits, change orders, vendor records, and other construction documents.
- Support project managers with administrative coordination and recordkeeping.
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and local agencies as needed.
- Deliver contracts, permits, or other documents to City Hall and related offices when required.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Assist with material tracking, purchasing documentation, and general office coordination.
- Help improve internal processes, organization, and accountability.
- Provide estimating support when experience and workload allow.
- Complete additional administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of administrative experience, including at least 2 years in the construction industry.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.
- Familiarity with construction materials, terminology, vendors, and project documentation.
- Strong bookkeeping, data-entry, and recordkeeping abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a busy construction office.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable, level-headed, proactive, and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for occasional work-related errands.
- Spanish-English bilingual skills are a plus.
- Previous construction estimating experience is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
- Full-time, W-2 employment.
- Pay: $50.000 - $60,000 per year, based on relevant experience and responsibilities.
- The upper end of the range is intended for candidates who can also contribute to construction estimating.
- Two weeks of paid time off.
